Matt Yglegias Admits A Wrong

Matt Yglegias is a well known commentator who has written for many newspapers and journals and was a co founder of Vox. He writes on politics and economics. He is perhaps most well known for a column in 2013 where he defended the current practice of different countries having vastly different safety and environmental standards. He clarified the column several times but stood by the basic points.

Angela Alioto has second thoughts on social justice

Angela Alioto is an elected supervisor in San Francisco and the daughter of a former mayor (he was mayor when I lived there is 1975). Supervisor Alioto has been a proponent of many progressive social policies, e.g., needle exchanges, sanctuary city and decriminizing theft. She also supported major increases in programs that deal with the homeless.
